The approved development is consistent with what has been proposed and includes two new residential buildings with a shared podium, where the parking garage is currently. There are no planned changes to the existing residential building or the amenity spaces to which tenants have access, other than continued maintenance and upgrades.

No, there will be no demolition and no current residents will need to move. Residents will continue to have access to the Sterling Club Recreation Centre and outdoor amenity areas.

The new buildings will have a shared 5-storey podium, and residential towers will have total heights of 25 storeys (west tower) and 29 storeys (east tower). The most up-to-date architectural plans were conditionally approved in August 2023, and can be viewed in the Application Materials.

At this time, our plan is for the new units to be a mix of rental and condominium tenure to offer many housing options. The current thinking is that the west tower would be rental and the east tower would be condo.

The intention is to address a need for housing in Eglinton East and more broadly the City of Toronto. Given the proximity to current and future transit (e.g. the proposed Eglinton East LRT), this area is well suited to adding residential units.

Yes. Programming for these spaces will be determined as we proceed through the process.

The parking garage within the new buildings will have 856 parking spaces. This will include 345 spaces for residents of the existing building and 511 spaces for residents of the new buildings.

We know that having access to parking is very important to residents during and after construction.

The owners will ensure that all existing tenants have appropriate alternative parking arrangements during construction and we will have more information to share with tenants in early Spring 2024. We will be sending tenants an online survey in the new year to learn more about their travel habits and better understand how to best accommodate them during the construction period.

After construction, residents will be provided with a parking space in the new buildings.

The rezoning application received conditional approval in August 2023. A conditional approval means that there are certain matters that must be satisfied, before the application can proceed. One of these conditions that needs to be met is determining an interim parking plan for existing tenants.

We anticipate these conditions will be met at some point in 2024, and construction could begin in early 2025. Please visit the Timeline for up-to-date milestones.
